TAS DroneXchange (“we”, “our”, “us”) values transparency and trust. This FAQ explains how our marketplace works for buying, selling, renting drones, docks, accessories, and operator services.
1. General ℹ️
What is TAS DroneXchange?
TAS DroneXchange is Australia’s first dedicated drone marketplace where you can buy, sell, or rent drones, docks, accessories, and operator services with CASA-aligned compliance and secure payments.
Who can use the marketplace?
- 🛒 Buyers: Purchase new or used drones and accessories.
- 🏪 Sellers: List new or pre-owned drones.
- 📅 Renters: Hire drones short-term or access enterprise fleets.
- 👨✈️ Operators: Provide services such as aerial surveying, inspections, or training.
How do I create an account?
Click Sign Up, choose your role (Buyer, Seller, Renter, or Operator), and complete KYC verification if required.
2. Buying 🛒
How do I purchase a product/services?
Browse listings, apply filters (brand, payload, category), and click Buy Now.
Is my purchase protected?
- 🔒 Rentals, and operator services: Payments are held in escrow until completion and confirmation.
3. Selling 🏪
How do I list my drone for sale?
Go to Create Listing, select New or Used, add details (model, hours flown, payload), and set your price.
Are sellers verified?
Yes. All sellers must complete KYC identity verification before listing.
4. Renting 📅
How does drone/dock rental work?
- List or book a drone/dock through the Rentals section.
- Pay rental fees and a refundable security deposit.
- Upon return, the drone is inspected before deposit release.
Can enterprises rent drones?
Yes. TAS DroneXchange supports enterprise fleet rentals, including scheduling, insurance, and CASA compliance tools.
5. Payments 💳
Which payment methods are supported?
Payments are processed via Stripe Connect (credit/debit cards, bank transfers).
How does escrow work?
Escrow is used for rentals and operator services. Funds are held securely until completion and confirmation.
6. Compliance & Trust 🛡️
How is CASA compliance ensured?
TAS DroneXchange integrates with CASA registration checks to help buyers, sellers, and renters remain compliant.
Do I need a license to sell or rent drones?
Not for hobby drones. Enterprise or professional drones may require CASA operator accreditation. TAS guides you through this.
Is insurance available?
Yes. You can add insurance services when renting a drone.
